Democrats

In a January 28, 2012 speech to the Palm Beach County GOP in West Palm Beach, Florida, Cong. Allen West (R-FL) gave Barack Obama and the Democratic leadership a bit of what they have coming to them.  He said, “This is a battlefield that we must stand upon.  And we need to let President Obama, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi and my dear friend, the chairman of the Democrat National Committee… we need to let them know that Florida ain’t on the table.”

He continued, “Take your message of equality of achievement, take your message of economic dependency, take your message of enslaving the entrepreneurial will and spirit of the American people somewhere else.  You can take it to Europe, you can take it to the bottom of the sea, you can take it to the North Pole, but get the hell out of the United States of America.”

He concluded by saying, “This is not about 1 percent or 99 percent.  This is about 100 percent.  It’s about 100 percent America.  And I will not stand back and watch anyone defame, degrade, or destroy that which my father fought for, my older brother, my father-in-law, myself, my nephew and all my friends still in uniform (fought for).  I will not allow President Obama to take the United States of America and destroy it.  If that means I’m the No. 1 target for the Democrat Party, all I got to say is one thing: Bring it on, baby.”

There are those who will say that Col. West is far too tough on Democrats.  I disagree; I have been criticized for speaking just as frankly about them.  I’ve asked my critics to tell me one thing I’ve ever said or written about Democrats that is untrue, and they are strangely silent.  To the contrary, I believe that Republicans need to follow Col. West’s lead… they need to “take off the gloves” and give as good as they get.  They need to understand that Democrats are much like the fighter who would look you squarely in the eye, agree to the Marquis of Queensbury rules, and then hit you with a “rabbit punch” the instant you turn your back.  They’re not honorable people.

One of the problems I have with Democrats is that they can never find it within themselves to be honest with the American people.  With few exceptions, such as former senator Zell Miller (D-GA), they all tend to talk out of both sides of their mouths.  On the campaign trail they present themselves as if they are just as conservative as their Republican opponents, but once in office they take their marching orders from the most radical left wing special interests in the country.

I’m tough on Democrats because they see politics, not as the means by which we establish government, as most conservatives and Republicans see it, but as an end in itself.  Like their Asian and European cousins, who regularly riot in the streets, Democrats see politics as a game in which there are winners and losers and where losing is not an option, no matter what they must do to win – legal or illegal, moral or immoral, ethical or unethical, violent or non-violent.  For Democrats, doing what’s best for the people is always less important than who holds the reins of power, and doing what’s best for their party always trumps what’s best for the country.

I’m tough on Democrats because they take unfair advantage of people, especially those who feel as if they are “less than” the rest of us – less talented, less educated, less capable of competing for jobs, education, and social position, those that Marx and Lenin referred to as the “proletariat” – while the Kennedys, the Kerrys, the Clintons, the Reids, the Pelosis, and the Obamas pretend to be their betters, the self-anointed aristocracy.  That unholy alliance between the “elites” and the “non-elites” is what characterizes and sustains the Democratic Party.

I’m tough on Democrats because they lie so shamelessly to African-Americans in order to keep them on the Democratic “plantation.”  Is it possible for black children to learn everything that white children learn, for young African-Americans to benefit from a college education the same as whites and Asians, and for African-Americans to find and hold blue-collar or white-collar jobs the same as a white people?  Of course.  Yet Democrats continue to insist that blacks must have quotas or preferences in order to compete with whites and Asians.  They never fail to play the race card, insisting that racism in America is such that African-Americans simply couldn’t make it without Democratic sponsorship.

Now, as we enter the 2012 election year, we find the Obama administration suing state after state, trying to set aside new laws that require voters to produce a photo ID before voting.  What possible reason could anyone have for refusing to prove who they are when they vote, just as they must do when they cash a ten dollar check at Wal-Mart?  In defense of Obama’s Justice Department, and in support of opportunities for vote fraud, Democrats say the most outrageous things about the ability of minorities to accomplish something as simple as obtaining a government-issued photo ID, proving only that racism is alive and well in the Democrat Party.

If Republicans were to back off the photo ID initiative, suggesting instead that the states adopt programs requiring voters to dip a finger into a vial of indelible ink after voting… like the proud first time voters in emerging Third World democracies… Democrats would be just as strongly opposed.  Their goal is to steal elections and they’re not about to let anyone interfere with that long-standing party tradition.

Where the black vote is concerned, there’s just too much at stake for Democrats to ever allow them to learn the truth.  A simple analysis of the 2006, 2008, and 2010 General Elections results shows that, if African-Americans split their votes approximately 52-48% or 53-47% between Democrats and Republicans, like everyone else, instead of 90-95% for Democrats, Republicans would be just months away from having a filibuster-proof majority in the United States Senate.  By insisting on being the Democrats’ most cheaply-bought constituency, without ever stopping to consider the real economic progress that Republicans offer, blacks reject everything that is best for them and for their children and grandchildren.

The same is true of their relationship with blue color workers.  In the past seventy-five years, Democrats have consistently conspired with labor bosses to support higher taxes on job creators,  the growth of wasteful and ineffective bureaucracies, excessive and unnecessary regulation of the private sector, and a debilitating adversarial relationship between business and government – all of it, total anathema to the best interests of working men and women.

To the extent that the party is not owned by trial lawyers… people who earn their livelihood by capitalizing on the misery of others… it has been owned by organized labor since the 1930s.  And while the Bureau of Labor Statistics tells us that, since 1983, membership in private sector unions has declined from 17.7% to 11.9% of the workforce, the decline in private sector union membership has been greatly offset by unionization in the public sector… public school teachers and other public employees.

However, with an unprincipled friend in the White House, with radical pro-labor lawyers appointed to the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), and with the most radicalized AFL-CIO leadership since the days of John L. Lewis, the industrial unions are once again rearing their ugly heads.

On April 20, 2011 the NLRB alleged that Boeing was expanding airliner production in South Carolina, a right-to-work state, in retaliation for past strikes by the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers at their Seattle plants.   It was a serious blow to South Carolina workers who saw as many as 3,800 good-paying jobs disappear at the hands of Obama and his AFL-CIO puppet masters.

Two days later, Obama’s most recent appointee to the NLRB, Lafe Solomon, joked about the furor created by the complaint against Boeing.  In an email to an agency associate, commenting on a European news story that criticized the NLRB action, Solomon said, “The article gave me a new idea.  You go to Geneva and I get a job with Airbus.  We screwed up the U.S. economy, and now we can tackle Europe.”

Few rank-and-file Democrats really understand what their party is all about because they simply refuse to think for themselves; they pay union bosses or self-appointed black leaders to do their thinking for them.  Asked to speak for two minutes on what their party is all about, most would provide a list of characteristics that are more descriptive of the Republican Party.

I just want Democrats to be honest with us.  I want them to stop lying about what they stand for.  I want them to put their ideas up alongside Republican ideas and let the people decide what’s best.  I want them to be motivated by something more than hatred for Republicans.  I want them to compete honestly and fairly without resorting to fraud, violence, and intimidation.  And I want them to get their priorities in order: Instead of putting party first, country second, and God third, I want them to put God first, the country second, and their party last.

The Founding Fathers knew that the nation that they visualized could never survive if ruled by immoral and deceitful men.  As they sat down to draft the U.S. Constitution, they could not have imagined that one day the people of America would be governed by the likes of Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, and Barack Obama.  But we are, and it is up to the patriots of today to go to the polls on November 6 and once again seize the reins of power.  The lives of our children and grandchildren… and their children and grandchildren… depend on it.
